Like everything about the deck box, except the lack of a proper closure "latch". It's just two flimsy pieces of plastic (the top and the front side) that have no real means to latch together. It seems that they expect a lock to do the trick - but that won't create any kind of seal since the front panel tends to bow out with even cushions pushing against it. So, a secure closure is a problem.Size is good - I was able to get double cushions for two chairs and a loveseat (plus 4 accent pillows), as well as 4 quite thick dining chair bottom cushions into the box without issues. Now I just need to figure out what to use to get a better seal on the lid if I want to keep the rain out. If this bow had a better closure system it would be 5 stars!I was looking for a small deck box and this is perfect. It fits two 22" seat cushions and smaller back cushions perfectly with a little room left over for toss pillows. I got most of it assembled by myself, but ended up needing help to finish...recommend 2 people because it's difficult to hold up while getting sides on. Great purchase if you don't need large storage. Only thing I wish is that is was a darker gray like photoI looked at a lot of things on amazon to hold deliveries. I have a covered porch so rain not much of a problem. I don't sit there, although that wouldn't be a deal breaker but all of the storage benches didn't hold enough. Many of the boxes were too long to fit on the porch. I needed something less than 36 inches long but big enough to hold larger boxes or several Amazon Fresh deliveries. That is assuming UPS, FedEx or even Amazon will use this box. I have had problems with stolen packages and have two thieves on security cam. But of course, the authorities do nothing about it but tell you to bring your mail in right away. That's fine if you're home but I needed a solution for when I am not. My USPS carrier *will* use the box as we have discussed the theft problem before and I'm not the only one.The box arrived at11:50 and I had it assembled by 1pm all by myself. Minimal tools needed but I did need a screwdriver and either a socket wrench or an open end wrench. All parts were included (plus one extra screw and I appreciate that.) The directions were clear and it went together easily. While they do recommend two people I put it together alone quite easily. The design and construction seems quite sturdy and adequate to my purpose. While I wouldn't sit on it I imagine you could as long as you don't weigh to much. Since this will sit on my porch I also spray painted it to match my house, so construction was actually less than an hour as the remainder of the 70 min. was spent spray painting the top front and both sides.Once the paint is dry I will be attaching labels to direct USPS, FedEx, UPS and Amazon to place deliveries in the box. I will also be adding labels warning that mail theft is a Federal Felony resulting in up to 5 years in prison and $250,000 fines. Plus a warning that they should smile as they are on security cams. Will it stop them? No. You can never stop them, just slow them down. There is a loop on the front to padlock the lid and box together but it would be easy to cut through the plastic so I don't consider this a secure solution. It is mostly to get deliveries out of sight and to further warn them about theft, should they be caught. For that purpose, this is perfect.I plan to put insulation around the sides and top so that if amazon fresh delivers, groceries will be insulated at least somewhat.Putting this together is better if you have an extra set of hands but can be done by yourself as long as you do it in a flat surface. The only thing that I added was expanding foam and flex seal to cover the space where the walls fold; it looked like bugs could enter thru there. So far so good, the box is sturdy but I wouldn't put heavy items in it. Good for garden tools, small power tools, misc. items.I looked hard to find a good deck box to store gardening tools, kids toys, grilling implements, spare chairs, etc. and this seemed like the best. And once I assembled it, it seems like it is.Setting it up however, was a different story - but I’m hoping my experience might help some others. There’s a step after putting the sides on the box, when you insert metal U-shaped pins. Before you do, MAKE SURE THE SIDES ARE SLID ALLLLLLL THE WAY IN. Mine were not apparently - just seemingly a touch off - and I spent hours (and my children learned some new colorful words) try to get the holes lined up and the pins to fully insert. Once I realized the issue, after two nights of frustration, I hit the offending side with a hammer (cushioning the blow with a block of wood to avoid dents) to make sure the offending side was ALL the way in and the pin inserted without much effort.Overall a (thus far) five star product with a potentially massively frustrating assembly process - hence four stars. But hoping you can skip the pain!Pain in the but to put together it took two of us to put together. It fit the cushions from our love seat, and two chairs. This deck box was a little difficult to assemble because it is made up of only a few pieces that bend in place. That construction probably helps with weather proof but we needed two people to put it all together. It looks durable and we shall see.The finished product seems OK, time will tell how it holds up. The assembly is not for the faint of heart, very difficult.
