DESCRIPTION
**For Eastern Bluebirds Only** APPROVED BY THE NORTH AMERICAN BLUEBIRD SOCIETY. A good bluebird box should be more than just a cavity for a bird to build a nest in. It should be easy to monitor, easy to clean, and provide a safe nesting site. This one has it all! It is very easy to monitor and clean with flip down front panel. Fledgling ladder below the exit gives the bluebirds additional traction. There is plenty of ventilation just under the roof line and drainage holes on the bottom to keep the nest dry. It is a very well made box! An information sheet is included with the nest box. Nest Box Features: Recycled Plastic and Stainless Steel screw construction, flip down front panel, 1½” entry to keep out larger birds and predators, Copper Portal to maintain entry hole, grooved fledgling ladder below exit, excellent drainage and ventilation. I bought this to replace a wood box that just got ick and worn out fast after our backyard Bluebirds used it for two nests this summer. I wasn't planning on installing it until nesting season, but with the deep cold temps coming I installed it - which was super simple with the pole - and now our Bluebird family is roosting in in nightly. Hoping the choose it for nests this spring.
